While I cannot profess to be quite as informed or down wid da kidZ as you may be on the Grime scene but there really is a fundamental difference to ground level independent labels, dance night organisers and pirate radio to worldwide promotion through mainstream media.
Do you honestly think it was Rinse FM, Eskimo Dance or Sidewinder or made Stormzy, Wiley and Dizzie Rascal household names giving them prominence on the BBC etc to the degree even your nan has heard of them ?

I played in a five a side match against a celebrity team consisting of Lofty, Ray Winstone, Ambrose Mendy and Billy Mitchell. We lost 3-0 but we were only 17 at the time.
